How the Artist Trust Badge Works
The artist trust badge is meant to be clear in public and accountable behind the scenes. We use plain-language tiers for display and publish the signals that move the badge up or down.
Building Trust
Starts at 0+
Just getting started. This badge grows as approved work and honest disclosures build up a track record.
Reviewed Artist
Starts at 40+
A reviewed artist with a solid history of approved work and consistent, honest disclosures.
Trusted Artist
Starts at 70+
A trusted artist with a strong, steady record that reviewers consistently confirm.
Proven Artist
Starts at 90+
A proven artist with a long history of approved work and reliable disclosures at the highest tier.
What We Look At
The badge reflects review and account signals tied to trust on this platform:
- Verification history: approved work versus total submitted work.
- Moderation standing: open reports, disputes, and takedowns can lower trust.
- Steady activity: a longer, healthier record over time helps.
- Disclosure consistency: reviewer-confirmed honesty and consistency matter.
- Staff-reviewed changes only: non-admin creation-mode edits on existing works do not affect the badge.
What We Do Not Count
These things do not improve or lower your trust badge:
- Follower count, likes, or general popularity.
- Paid membership or financial support.
- Subjective opinions about artistic quality or style.
- Routine non-admin edits to existing work disclosures.
How We Stay Transparent
The public badge uses plain-language level names that admins can adjust as the trust system evolves.
Admins can review the detailed breakdown and audit log behind changes.
Manual overrides are rare, tracked, and tied to a reason in the audit history.
We would rather explain the system openly than ask you to trust a black box.
